What I’ve gained is a completely different perspective of how awful western medicine is at helping prevent or reversing any condition. Inherently, this system has little incentive to seek out solutions, especially since solving the root cause will only hurt shareholders’ profits.
It seams so widely accepted that a medication can fix all the unhealthy lifestyle and metabolic problems created by our food environment. Hence, the sudden craze in using GLP-1 agonists like Ozempic, Mounjaro, and Wegovy. These help trigger our starvation metabolism at the expense of our precious and diminishing muscle mass. In other words, we are willing to pay anything to lose weight with just a simple weekly injection. Even this incredibly expensive weight loss medication never fixes the "root cause" and encourages a "customer for life" prescription. Now, doesn't that sound lucrative?
